John Michael Kohler Arts Center

A 48-year-old, nationally acclaimed visual and performing arts complex in downtown Sheboygan, the Arts Center is devoted to innovative explorations in contemporary American art. Its exhibitions focus on a wide range of art forms, with particular emphasis on sculpture, photography, crafts, new genres, installation art, ongoing folk traditions, and the work of self-taught artists. The performing arts emphasize dance, music, and theatre performances from around the world. Programming also includes a renowned Arts/Industry residency program, classes, and special events. With the completion of its expansion, the new 100,000-square-foot Arts Center comprises ten galleries, an intimate theatre, a flexible interdisciplinary performance space, studio-classrooms, meeting spaces, the ARTspace shop, and the ARTcafe. The Arts Center also has an adjunct site: ARTspace, an exhibition space and shop in the Shops at Woodlake in Kohler Village.

Umberto Cesari

In the early 1960s, Umberto Cesari purchased 20 hectares of vineyard and took up the challenge of a lifetime: to make Sangiovese a great wine, loved throughout the world. In fact, Umberto Cesari was among the very first to focus on this grape variety and to spread its culture on the international scene. These wines grow in the vineyards of Emilia Romagna, planted on the hillslopes of Castel San Pietro Terme, at elevations of between 250 and 450 metres. Protected by the striking Calanchi Azzurri, the 170 hectares of vines enjoy an ideal micro-climate, characterised by marked day-night temperature differentials, constant breezes, and abundant sun.

Umea University

Umea Academy of Fine Arts is part of the Umeċ Arts Campus at Umeċ University, together with the Umeċ School of Architecture, Umeċ Institute of Design, Bildmuseet and HumlabX. The Academy offers three degrees in Fine Arts: a Bachelor Program and a Master Program and a PhD program on artistic grounds. We also have single-subject courses in Aestetics I, II and III and summer courses. The fine arts degree at Umea Academy of Fine Arts give a practical and theoretical competence to work as a professional artist in Sweden and overseas. The programs focuses on the individual students artistical projects which develop together with the academy's tutorial team. The school, which was founded in 1987, has complete workshops for wood, metal, plaster, bronze, grahical, photo, video, sound and computer based artistical forms.
